Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) specializing in school-based therapy to support the developmental and functional needs of students. This contract position is located in Trenton, GA, offering the chance to contribute to a positive educational environment by delivering tailored occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized occupational therapy interventions for students in a school setting. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and update student therapy goals. Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Document therapy sessions thoroughly and maintain compliance with school policies and regulations. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student learning and participation.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current state licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Experience working with school-age children in an educational or similar setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, families, and school staff. Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet individual student needs. Familiarity with school-based therapy requirements and documentation standards.
