182 contract and teacher salary schedule Position Overview The Elementary Magnet School Master Teacher serves as an instructional leader to support teacher growth, student achievement, and implementation of high-quality instructional practices within the magnet school program. The Master Teacher provides instructional coaching, mentoring, and professional support to teachers in grades 1-5 while promoting effective instructional strategies aligned to Louisiana academic standards and magnet school goals. Key Responsibilities Provide instructional coaching and support to teachers in grades 1-5. Model effective teaching practices and support implementation of high-quality instruction. Facilitate professional learning, mentoring, and collaborative planning opportunities for teachers. Support teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, differentiation, and data-driven instruction. Assist with analyzing student achievement data to guide instructional decisions and improve student outcomes. Collaborate with school and district leaders to support magnet school initiatives and instructional priorities. Maintain documentation of coaching activities, teacher support, and professional learning efforts. Participate in required district and school professional development activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. Valid Louisiana teaching certificate in Elementary Education (Grades 1-5). Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience preferred. Experience providing instructional coaching or teacher support preferred. Mentor Teacher Certification preferred. Knowledge of Louisiana Student Standards, instructional best practices, and data-driven instruction. Strong communication, leadership, coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills. Reporting Structure The Elementary Magnet School Master Teacher reports to the school principal and/or designated district supervisor and supports schoolwide instructional improvement and teacher development initiatives.
