School-Based Physical Therapist

85 an hour Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist located near Pueblo, CO. This in-person role spans from the end of July through the end of October, covering four days each week (Monday through Thursday), with four Fridays assigned for Child Find assessments. You'll join a dedicated team, taking over a full caseload and working alongside two experienced PTAs to support student growth and mobility across 21 diverse school sites.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active PT license, with demonstrated experience in school and healthcare-based settings Expertise in conducting evaluations, ongoing assessments, and crafting customized therapy plans for children and teens Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and collaborative team meetings Ability to manage a busy caseload while upholding clinical excellence and positive communication Flexibility and enthusiasm for engaging with students, staff, and families from a variety of backgrounds Organized, dependable, and skilled in adapting therapy delivery to differing educational environments
Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students per IEP guidelines and school policies Assess students' needs, write effective treatment plans, and set appropriate therapy goals Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and family conferences Coordinate with on-site PTAs to implement interventions across multiple schools Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and compliance documentation Engage in all typical duties required of a school Physical Therapist, including Child Find activities on designated Fridays You'll benefit from a streamlined hiring process, with interviews arranged promptly after expressing interest.
