Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract assignment serving K-12 students across multiple school sites in a dynamic itinerant position. This opportunity offers the chance to make a considerable difference in students' lives, providing direct support and guidance on-site throughout the academic year. You'll work a consistent weekly schedule and collaborate closely with educators and support staff, ensuring each student receives individualized attention and care suited to their needs. From elementary through high school, you'll employ your expertise to facilitate student growth and participation in educational settings.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Physical Therapist license in the state of South Carolina Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication skills, adept at building rapport with children, families, and educational teams Ability to adapt interventions and strategies for diverse learners across grade levels Enthusiasm for working in an itinerant role, providing services at multiple school locations
Role Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, treatment planning, and direct physical therapy services to students K-12 in accordance with IEP goals Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support each student's educational progress Offer training, support, and consultation to school staff as appropriate Travel between multiple school sites during the workweek This contract position is fully on-site, running from late July through May, and provides a well-structured schedule tailored for those seeking a rewarding, student-centered environment.
