Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students in a vibrant educational setting near Ponte Vedra, FL. Beginning August 10, 2026, you'll cover a 12-week maternity leave for the early school year and may have the chance to begin sooner during the extended summer term, depending on caseload and district needs. This contract position is full-time, offering 37.5 hours per week with a Monday-Friday schedule. As an itinerant Physical Therapist, expect to collaborate with multiple school sites in the area, bringing your expertise where it's needed most.
Key Qualifications:
Active Florida Department of Health Physical Therapy license (required) Experience working in school-based settings, ideally with K-12 students (preferred) Fingerprinting required; expedited if AHCA Clearinghouse prints exist Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to travel between assigned campuses as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans Assess, develop, and implement customized therapy plans to support student mobility and school participation Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families Maintain documentation, progress notes, and required compliance records Participate in eligibility, intervention, and progress meetings as appropriate This placement is strictly on-site—remote/VOCO services are not available.
