Director Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree in
Speech/Language Pathology ASHA Certification, Texas Licensure Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines and local district policies. Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructional and behavioral modifications and adaptations. Thorough knowledge of communication disorders including language; phonological processes and articulation; voice and fluency. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders Evaluate student progress and make determination regarding therapy services.
Bilingual Evaluation Support Program Management:
Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents of the assigned district. Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, and board policy. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
Additional Duties:
Any and all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
