Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity is available in a dynamic school setting near Cary, NC. Make a difference while working collaboratively with educators and supervisors to help students achieve their communication goals. Enjoy a schedule that aligns with the academic calendar, beginning August 24, 2026, through June 9, 2027. Assigned campuses and caseload details, including age groups, will be determined to suit your expertise and strengths. Following your successful interview in mid-March and onboarding, you'll receive mentorship from a dedicated supervisor and guidance through your NC Board of Examiners registration process.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active registration with the North Carolina Speech Board, or eligibility for full or temporary SLPA registration Background providing speech therapy and service documentation in a school setting Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office for effective communication and record-keeping Commitment to on-site work (this is not a remote or virtual position) Collaborative mindset and adaptability to new environments
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Document all student sessions and progress in compliance with school and state guidelines Communicate regularly with supervisors, teachers, and caregivers Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Foster a positive, inclusive environment for students across assigned campuses Take the next step in your Speech Language Pathology Assistant career while impacting young lives in an engaging educational atmosphere.
