Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an enriching role supporting young learners in an elementary school setting. This contract opportunity focuses on a well-sized caseload comprised exclusively of elementary students, situated within a welcoming TK-12 district. With a student population of approximately 3,650, the district offers a vibrant and collaborative environment. The assignment is based at an elementary campus and provides a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, ensuring a stable work-life rhythm. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility and proficiency in delivering a full range of speech services—spanning direct intervention, assessments, and IEP participation. Comfort working with students across the spectrum, from general education to those with moderate to severe language needs, is essential. This diverse caseload offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth and the ability to truly impact students' communication skills.
Qualifications:
Active SLPA credential required; CTC credential preferred but not mandatory Previous school-based or pediatric speech experience highly desired Competence in handling a varied caseload, supporting TK-5th grade learners Robust understanding of IEP processes, assessments, and direct therapy Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
