Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding environment, supporting students' communication growth as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the full academic year. This contract opportunity near Boulder, WY, offers the chance to make a significant difference in a school setting, collaborating closely with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists and a passionate educational community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid SLPA license or credential for the state. Previous experience in school or healthcare settings assisting with speech/language interventions. Understanding of child and adolescent language, speech, and communication needs. Comfort working with diverse student populations and collaborating with educators and therapists. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Flexibility, self-motivation, and a commitment to student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a certified SLP. Implement therapy activities as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs). Collect data and track student progress, assisting with documentation and progress reporting. Foster a supportive, positive learning environment that encourages student participation. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to reinforce communication strategies. Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources to enhance sessions. Participate in team meetings and staff development as required throughout the year.
