(Bonny Eagle) 4 reviews Full-time MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic School Counselor to join its instructional staff at the Edna Libby Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The MSAD 6 School Counselor is an integral part of the district's comprehensive education program, aligned with the shared District mission to help all students reach their full potential. The School Counselor contributes to the design and delivery of the K-12 comprehensive school counseling plan which improves student outcomes. The School Counselor helps students develop mindsets and behaviors for success in the areas of academic, career, social/emotional development, as well as community involvement, in school and future post-secondary pursuits. The successful candidate will provide positive leadership in the school, the district, and the community; engage in advocacy for students and their families; and implement small group counseling and classroom lessons to promote student development and systemic change. Applicants for this position must have degree(s) Master's Degree in School Counseling and Examination, which includes supervised internship and practicum experience; Maine Department of Education certification in content area (#075 endorsement); demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
