School Custodian - Evening Shift

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Custodian to join our team during the evening shift. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all school areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gyms, and administrative offices Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance Handle janitorial tasks including trash removal, restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and dusting Maintain and operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper use for industrial cleaning tasks Assist with light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups as needed Follow established health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone on campus Document completed tasks and report any facility issues or repairs required to appropriate personnel promptly Requirements Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties within scheduled shifts Join us as a School Custodian on the evening shift and play a crucial role in creating a safe, clean, and inviting environment that supports student success. Applicants must have a satisfactory work history and pass a criminal background check. The hours for this 7 hour position will be 2:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m. with a contract of 175 days per year. The hourly rate will range from $14.00 to $20.75 depending on experience and education. Work hours may be adjusted as needed, provided the shift begins after 2:00 p.m. and all assigned duties are completed within a 7-hour work period prior to the start of the following school day.
