School LPN - Union City, California ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Union City, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $21.81 - $45.00 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications LPN Full Job Description Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Take your nursing skills into the school setting with a rewarding contract opportunity focused on delivering exceptional care to medically fragile students. This full-time, itinerant role involves providing one-on-one support throughout the academic year, rotating among campuses and student assignments to ensure comprehensive health services. As a vital part of the educational team, your expertise will directly impact student safety, well-being, and success in their learning environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active LPN/LVN license in good standing Prior experience in school settings or pediatric care preferred Proficient in managing seizure protocols, health plans, and emergency response Comfortable with procedures including gastronomy, bladder cauterization, and diabetes-related care (insulin, CGM, carb counting) Skilled in supporting students with ASD, developmental delays, and a wide age range (4-22 years) Confident administering medications (epinephrine, Benadryl, etc.) and recognizing signs of hypo- and hyperglycemia Strong communication skills for connecting with families and collaborating with staff Bilingual Spanish a plus, but not requiredCore Responsibilities:
Review and update individualized health and seizure plans Lead and facilitate staff training on medical procedures Develop rapport with students and maintain open communication with parents Remain on call during school hours for urgent health needs Provide hands-on student care as required throughout the school day Rotate between multiple campuses and student cases as needed This position offers the chance to expand your impact beyond traditional healthcare settings, allowing for personal fulfillment as you advocate for and support the most vulnerable students.
