School Nurse

We're partnering with a school district in Providence County, Rhode Island to hire a School Nurse . A nurse opportunity is available with our client for 2026 ESY in Providence County, Rhode Island. This is an on-site contract assignment with a schedule of Monday-Thursday, 8:00-11:30 (bus-ride scheduling pending).

ESY Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a student with complex medical needs during the school day. Track the student's health status and respond promptly to changes in condition while on campus. Administer prescribed medications and support the safe use of required medical equipment. Act quickly and appropriately in urgent situations, following school-based emergency needs as they arise. Support safe participation in learning activities by coordinating care needs throughout the day.

Qualifications :

Active nursing licensure as an RN or LPN (as applicable to the assignment). Experience supporting individuals with complex medical needs in a structured setting. Ability to safely administer medications and manage student-specific medical equipment. Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during medical emergencies. Ability to work on-site in a school setting for the ESY schedule provided.
