Job Description

Category Schools - CNA Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting a young learner as a 1:1 Health Aide for an elementary student from now through June 3, 2026. This contract opportunity is located near Freeland, MI, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:20 am to 3:20 pm. You'll have a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks each day. As a compassionate and reliable health aide, you will accompany a third-grade student during the school day, attending classes and monitoring their health needs closely. Your responsibilities will include riding the school bus to and from either the student's home or the District Transportation Center, providing hands-on assistance with mobility using a walker or stroller, and continuously monitoring an oxygen tank throughout the day. While the student can use the restroom independently, your support and attentive care are essential to ensuring their safety and participation in school activities.
Key Qualifications:
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or equivalent nursing experience required Previous experience working with medically fragile students preferred Active CPR certification highly preferred Ability to support and assist with mobility devices, such as walkers and strollers Dependable, caring, and able to communicate effectively with children and staff
Responsibilities:
