Job Description

Category Schools - CNA Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting a remarkable student as a 1:1 Health Aide in an elementary building near Saginaw, MI. This fulfilling contract assignment runs through June 3, 2026, and offers consistent weekly hours—30 per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:20 am to 3:20 pm, including daily dedicated break and lunch times. As the designated Health Aide, you'll provide hands-on care for a third-grade student with special medical needs, including monitoring an oxygen tank and assisting with safe mobility throughout the school day. Your day will begin and end by accompanying the student on the school bus, either joining them at home or meeting at the District Transportation Center to ensure a smooth, supportive journey to and from school. Ideal candidates bring one or more of the following: Active CNA certification or relevant nursing background Direct experience working as a Certified Nurse Assistant, especially within a school or pediatric setting Proven ability to support medically fragile children Current CPR certification (strongly preferred) Calm and adaptive approach, ready to attend classes alongside the student and respond effectively in emergencies Comfortable with student mobility needs, including supervision with walker use and emergency evacuation using a stroller In this essential, highly personal role, you'll foster trust, provide critical care, and help create a positive educational experience for a young learner.
