Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a vibrant, supportive school setting. This contract role begins in August 2026 and runs through May 2027, offering a consistent, part-time schedule of 16 hours per week across two days. Make a meaningful impact by helping students develop skills for success in both academic and everyday life.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with active state certification Previous experience in a school environment or working with K-12 populations preferred Strong understanding of sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, and adaptive strategies Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases efficientlyPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed assessments to identify students' needs and develop personalized treatment strategies Provide targeted occupational therapy interventions aligning with students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Deliver services in both individual and group settings, adapting techniques for diverse learning styles and abilities Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations for student plans Serve as a resource for educators and parents, offering strategies to support students' growth and independence This contract offers a consistent, part-time schedule ideally suited for those seeking work-life balance or flexibility.
