Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students for the 2026-2027 academic year as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant school environment near Bennington, VT. Make a meaningful difference while collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and professionals to help every student reach their full potential.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license and registration Experience providing OT services in school-based settings preferred Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and related therapy interventions Excellent communication and organizational abilities Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset Flexibility to adapt to diverse student needs across various grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for students, identifying areas of strength and need Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions related to students' IEPs Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care and coordination Maintain clear and timely documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes Educate and consult with school staff and families on sensory, fine motor, and adaptive strategies to promote student success Participate in IEP meetings to provide insights and recommendations for student accommodations and services Contribute to a positive, supportive atmosphere that fosters student independence and engagement This contract position offers a unique chance to enhance your professional skills while making a tangible impact in special education.
