Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference working as an Occupational Therapist supporting young learners in a dynamic educational environment near South Paris, ME! This contract position is designed for professionals ready to use their skills in school settings, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy, focusing on an engaging preschool caseload with part-time hours.
Desired Background and Skills:
Current Occupational Therapist license for the state of ME Experience or training in school-based occupational therapy services Adaptable to delivering OT services in-person and through teletherapy as needed Confidence working with preschool-aged children, with an understanding of early childhood development Strong communication and collaboration abilities for families, staff, and interdisciplinary teamsKey Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to preschool students according to individualized education plans Conduct assessments and evaluations to shape therapy interventions Create and implement therapy activities aimed at improving students' functional outcomes in classroom and home settings Document progress, treatment plans, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with guidelines Consult with educators and families to support strategies for student success across settings Adapt to hybrid service delivery models, including remote/teletherapy interventions as neededPerks and Benefits:
