Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' growth and development this summer! This contract-based position near Scranton, PA, is tailored for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working in a school setting during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Enjoy a balanced schedule, working Tuesday through Thursday, from 8:45am to 12:15pm each day, allowing for both professional fulfillment and personal flexibility. Orientation will be held on Monday, June 29th, with the program running from June 29th through August 6th in Kingston, PA. As part of a collaborative educational team, you'll make a meaningful impact on the lives of students during this summer session.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania SLP Educator License required Experience providing occupational therapy within a school environment highly valued Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and school staff to ensure student needs are met Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions Develop and adapt activities to promote student participation and functional independence in school settings Participate in orientation and occasional team meetings This contract role not only offers a competitive pay range of $38-$45 per hour, but also a chance to engage in meaningful, focused work without year-round commitment—perfect for those seeking flexibility for the summer.
