Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy services across schools in the North and West areas of Jacksonville, FL. This full-time contract opportunity begins August 10, 2026, and extends through May 28, 2027, offering the chance to work closely with children of varying ages as you support multiple campuses within a vibrant district.
Qualifications:
Current, active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) Previous experience in school-based OT preferred Familiarity with itinerant service delivery is a plus Effective communication and organizational skills Willingness to travel between assigned school sites within the region Must complete state-required fingerprinting and badge processes (prior school district fingerprinting via the AHCA Clearinghouse may streamline this)Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to eligible students Assess student needs, develop and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student outcomes Document evaluations, progress, and compliance in accordance with district and state guidelines Adapt therapy plans to accommodate a variety of school settings and caseload requirements Travel between two or more school locations as assigned This position offers a dynamic and supportive setting, where your skills will directly impact the well-being and daily success of students with diverse needs.
