Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity making a meaningful difference in a school-based setting near Hamden, CT. This role is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist looking to support students' growth, development, and independence in an educational environment. Your work will help students access their curriculum, participate in daily school routines, and thrive alongside their peers.
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong understanding of OT best practices for K-12 student populations Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff Ability to manage a caseload and meet service delivery timelines
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with varying needs Deliver direct and consultative OT services in classrooms or specialized settings Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students' IEP goals Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on accommodations and modifications Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulations and policies
