Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful and dynamic role supporting K-12 students as a School Occupational Therapist for the academic year beginning August 2026 and concluding in May 2027. This contract position offers part-time hours, with 16 hours each week spread across two days—perfect for those looking to balance professional growth with flexibility. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team to help students reach their fullest potential.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong knowledge of IEPs, goal writing, and progress monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to assess and address the unique needs of K-12 populations Familiarity with sensory, fine motor, and adaptive strategies for diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' strengths and needs Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address goals within the academic setting Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and parents Monitor and document progress as outlined in IEPs, adjusting interventions as needed Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions Guide classroom staff on accommodations and techniques to facilitate student participation and success
