Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Elevate students' access to learning and growth with an opportunity supporting elementary campuses as a contract Occupational Therapist in the Kansas City, KS area. This assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, with your expertise reaching five elementary campuses. As details of the student caseload are finalized by the district, you'll be at the forefront of school-based occupational therapy, making a direct impact on children's development and independence.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Current OT licensure in Kansas, or eligibility for state licensure
  • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience is highly valued
  • Ability to collaborate with educational teams, teachers, and families
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
  • Provide screenings, assessments, and direct therapy to students across multiple elementary campuses
  • Develop and update individualized intervention plans based on student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes as required by school and district policy
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal development, and progress reporting
