Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your skills as an Occupational Therapist can make a significant impact during the ESY (Extended School Year) program. Utilizing your expertise across various settings—including school-based, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy—you will partner with a diverse community of students to help them achieve greater independence and success. Located conveniently near Brentwood, CA, this position features steady weekday hours, allowing you to maintain balance and flexibility throughout the summer.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed or credentialed Occupational Therapist, with a strong preference for candidates holding relevant state credentials Solid experience delivering OT services across school, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy environments Knowledge of best practices for supporting students with a range of physical, cognitive, and sensory needs Effective communicator who collaborates seamlessly with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Adaptability and creativity in tailoring interventions to meet individual student goals and IEP requirements Open to ESY (Extended School Year) schedules and student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services to students in accordance with their IEP or treatment plan Assess student needs and develop or adjust individualized intervention strategies Collaborate with teachers and families to optimize students' participation in academic and daily living activities Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, session notes, and required reports Integrate teletherapy as needed to ensure continuity of services Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions This contract position runs Monday through Friday, 8am-1pm, offering you afternoons free to recharge or pursue personal interests. You'll have the chance to hone your skills, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to student growth during a pivotal summer session.
