Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students as an Occupational Therapist. This flexible position focuses on delivering expert therapy services in a school-based setting for the upcoming academic year. You will provide direct care to a small caseload of three students, dedicating roughly 3-5 hours per week on campus. For those seeking a slightly expanded schedule, there is potential to combine hours with a nearby charter school, creating a weekly commitment of approximately 10 hours.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred Expertise in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for pediatric or elementary-age students Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with both educators and families Ability to work independently and adhere to the specific requirements of school-based therapy programs COTA applicants are not currently being considered; a fully credentialed OT is neededKey Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy to elementary students according to individualized education plans (IEPs) Document session notes, progress reports, and goal achievement as required by school systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care and optimal outcomes Maintain compliance with all state, district, and professional guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations This position is strictly on-site, offering a consistent structure that allows you to focus on hands-on therapy and meaningful interactions with students and staff.
