Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting near West Valley City, UT. This position offers a balanced schedule, with 21.75 hours each week over three days (8:30 AM - 3:45 PM), allowing you to make a direct impact while maintaining work-life harmony. Work closely with a dedicated caseload of 45 students from various age groups, all located within a single school, ensuring the chance to build strong, consistent connections as you help students thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active UT Professional License (Occupational Therapist, Registered) Previous school-based OT experience or enthusiasm for working with school-aged children Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, parents, and support staff Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans within a multi-disciplinary educational team Organized, adaptable, and able to manage a consistent caseload
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop individualized goals, and deliver direct and consultative OT services for a diverse student population Collaborate with educators and families to ensure therapy aligns with students' academic objectives Document progress, maintain compliance with IEPs, and participate in relevant meetings Support classrooms by recommending adaptive strategies and facilitating inclusive participation Stay current on best practices in educational therapy This contract role provides the structure and flexibility optimal for professionals seeking a meaningful, school-based Occupational Therapy experience.
