Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling opportunity this summer and make a meaningful impact supporting students' success. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work in a school-based setting on a contract basis. This position is conveniently located near Lees Summit, MO, and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping students develop the skills they need for daily living and classroom participation. This short-term assignment covers the month of June for a summer school program, with a weekly commitment of 20-25 hours. You'll have the chance to collaborate with educators and families, providing valuable support in a dynamic educational environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse student needs Comfort working in a fast-paced, varied setting
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students enrolled in summer school Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed
