Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities await for a passionate Occupational Therapist eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. This contract position supports elementary-aged students, focusing on direct, onsite services for the upcoming school year. With a manageable caseload of just three students, you'll be able to deliver individualized attention and build strong rapport, helping each child achieve their full potential. You'll enjoy a flexible schedule with approximately 3-5 hours each week at one school, with the possibility to expand your workload up to 10 hours a week if you are open to working with another nearby charter school. This role is ideal for professionals seeking supplemental hours or looking to balance clinical work with other commitments.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current and valid Occupational Therapist license Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting is strongly preferred Confident working with elementary-aged students Comfortable managing a small caseload independently Not open to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) requiring supervision Must be able to provide services in person; remote/teletherapy is not available
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for each student Implement engaging, evidence-based interventions that support students' fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to monitor progress and ensure continuity of care Document services, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
