Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a significant impact in the lives of students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the new school year. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support learners in reaching their fullest potential while collaborating with other dedicated educational professionals. You'll enjoy working in a school-based setting, fostering students' growth through evidence-based interventions.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT licensure (or eligibility) in Maine Experience working in a school setting preferred, but open to candidates enthusiastic about pediatric populations Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to design and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and interventions A collaborative approach and passion for helping students succeed
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students' needs Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a range of diagnoses and abilities Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that boost engagement and participation Maintain accurate and timely documentation for progress monitoring and compliance Provide consultation and recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive strategies Contribute positively to the school's supportive environment You'll thrive in this contract role if you enjoy variety in your day, value teamwork, and are committed to continual learning.
