Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a supportive, tight-knit district located just east of Albuquerque. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in students' lives while working alongside a dedicated and collaborative team. The district serves a close community, offering comprehensive SPED support to around 500 students. You'll enjoy a collegial environment where the leadership is approachable, and travel professionals are welcomed. The district is seeking both a full-time and a part-time OT. The full-time position (37.5 hours/week) covers two welcoming elementary schools and a small group of students at the high school, conveniently located within walking distance. Caseloads are thoughtfully managed—Moriarty Elementary, Route 66 Elementary, and the high school—with a total caseload that allows you to develop meaningful connections with each student. The team values open communication and relies on clear documentation, including confirmation of PED status and relocation details.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure School-based experience strongly preferred Familiarity with New Mexico PED requirements (be ready to provide current documentation) Compassion for working with children, including those with more intensive needs Strong communication and collaboration skills
