Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license Demonstrated experience providing physical therapy in school-based or pediatric healthcare settings Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and progress tracking Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and family members Adaptable approach to meet diverse student needs and dynamic educational environments Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and administrators
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' physical therapy needs Develop individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions for students Support students' participation in classroom, school activities, and mobility throughout the school day Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports as required by school and state guidelines Provide consultation and training to teachers, staff, and families regarding strategies and adaptive equipment Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise on physical development and recommendations
