Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this school year as an itinerant Physical Therapist, supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Hastings, FL. This full-time position spans the first 12 weeks of the new school year, covering maternity leave with the potential to begin earlier during the extended summer session. You'll work across multiple school sites, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to bring essential physical therapy services to students of varying ages. Qualifications:
Current, active Physical Therapist licensure through the FL Department of Health Prior school-based experience is preferred Ability to engage with a diverse caseload and travel between assigned school sites Completion of fingerprinting required; previous prints may be valid if done through the AHCA Clearinghouse Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site physical therapy assessments and interventions for students with varied needs Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including educators and other therapists Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and document progress Travel between multiple schools as assigned Maintain compliance with district protocols and timelines, including credentialing and documentation This contract offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) in a supportive and collaborative environment, allowing you to focus on direct clinical work and meaningful student interactions.
