Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Take the next step in your physical therapy journey by supporting students as a contract PT in a school-based setting near Lusby, MD. Make a meaningful impact by helping children and young adults thrive through individualized interventions and collaborative work with educational teams. This opportunity features two distinct caseloads—a comprehensive early intervention assignment that runs for 11 months, as well as a full K-12 opening. Both positions start August 10th, 2026 and conclude June 17th, 2027, and offer a full-time schedule, providing valuable stability over the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Current Maryland Physical Therapist (PT) license required Prior experience delivering physical therapy services in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to support students across different age groups and adapt interventions as needed Understanding of IEP processes and ability to follow school-based documentation requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services for students in early intervention through grade 12 Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to diverse student needs Collaborate closely with educators, school staff, and families to support each student's educational goals Document interventions, progress, and outcomes aligned with district and regulatory standards Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to promote student success Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages growth and development Enjoy the benefits of dedicating your skills to a student-centered environment while gaining valuable school-based experience.
