Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives as a Physical Therapist for a local school's Extended School Year (ESY) program. Support children's physical development and help foster growth in a collaborative educational environment. This position offers a consistent schedule—three days per week, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., spanning 7/6/26 through 8/7/26.
Key qualifications and preferred experience:
Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts Previous experience working as a PT in a school setting strongly preferred Strong understanding of pediatric diagnoses and therapeutic interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively Comfortable adapting activities to meet students' individual needs within a school environment Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation practices is a plus Commitment to professional growth and supporting student success What you'll be responsible for: Delivering direct therapy services to students in accordance with individualized plans Assessing, designing, and implementing personalized treatment strategies to help students achieve their goals Providing input for student IEPs and documenting progress Collaborating closely with special education teams, teachers, and families Supervising or mentoring support staff as appropriate Participating in ESY program planning meetings and supporting an inclusive, positive learning environment This role offers a great work-life balance with a flexible part-time schedule, and the chance to focus your expertise on meaningful short-term outcomes for students.
