Job Description
Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity serving students at a vibrant Missouri school district! This part-time, short-term assignment is ideal for a skilled Physical Therapist interested in supporting extended school year (ESY) programming. Running from June 1st to 25th, you'll play an essential role in helping students achieve their mobility and functional goals. Bring your expertise to a dedicated educational team, working approximately 22-25 hours per week during this mid-summer session. You'll work closely with students and staff, making a meaningful difference while enjoying flexibility in your schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Physical Therapy (PT) license in Missouri Experience in a school setting preferred; open to PTs with pediatric or educational experience Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Comfort and professionalism with virtual interviews (Zoom)Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct PT services to students in accordance with IEP goals during the ESY term Evaluate and document student progress, updating treatment plans as needed Collaborate with educators and related service professionals to implement interventions Educate and guide families and staff on strategies to support student mobility and safety Complete required documentation and maintain records to ensure compliance This contract role offers a fantastic chance to have a meaningful impact in a school community while maintaining work-life balance with part-time hours.
