School Physical Therapist | Homeland, California Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Homeland, CA Job Details Contract $32 - $85 an hour Qualifications Physical Therapy License Physical therapy Full Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for the state of California Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal-setting, and documentation requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with students, staff, and families Adaptable, creative, and solution-oriented mindset in diverse school settings
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving student mobility and access in educational settings Provide targeted physical therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in small groups, to address each student's unique needs Participate in multidisciplinary IEP meetings, providing expert input and collaborating on service delivery plans Educate teachers, families, and staff on strategies to promote physical function, safety, and active participation in classrooms Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as appropriate Experience professional fulfillment as you help students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
