Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A per diem Physical Therapist opportunity is available in Huntingdon County, PA, providing specialized therapy services in a school setting during the Extended School Year (ESY) 2026. This role involves working across two nearby school sites, delivering focused PT support to a small student caseload over the summer period.

Huntingdon County, PA (two school sites approximately 15-20 minutes apart)
Contract Type:
Per Diem, in-person only
Duration & Schedule:
• 6/23/26 to 7/16/26 (4 weeks) serving 4 students with varying session times: Two 30-minute sessions over 4 weeks Twice in 4 weeks for 30 minutes Once a week for 45 minutes Once a week for 30 minutes • 6/22/26 to 8/3/26 (6 weeks) serving 1 student (specific hours TBD)
Caseload:
Small and focused for individualized therapy
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid Physical Therapy licensure and credentials in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) standards Experience working in a school-based physical therapy setting preferred Must be able to provide services in person at designated school sites Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy assessments and interventions aligned with student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Document progress and collaborate with educational staff and families Adhere strictly to scheduled session times and maintain professional standards of care This position offers an excellent opportunity for PTs interested in school-based pediatric therapy during the summer ESY program, allowing for focused impact on student mobility and function.
