Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity making a significant difference in local schools as a School Psychologist. In this role, you will collaborate closely with educators, families, and students to foster positive learning environments and support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. Your expertise will play an essential part in developing intervention strategies, conducting assessments, and advocating for student well-being. Ideal applicants will have experience working in school settings and a passion for promoting public health among young learners. Strong communication, evaluation, and consultation skills are essential, along with adaptability in dynamic environments.
Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure required Previous experience as a School Psychologist or Public Health Psychologist, preferably in a K-12 educational setting Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and report-writing skills Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families Strong organizational and time management abilities
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop student support and intervention plans Offer individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, or academic needs Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the creation of student plans Advise on school-wide programs that promote mental health and positive behavior Maintain up-to-date documentation, ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines This is an excellent contract assignment for those dedicated to shaping supportive school communities and empowering students.
