Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract role supporting elementary school students as a vital member of a collaborative and compassionate team. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact by collaborating closely with educators and staff, addressing students' needs from kindergarten through 5th grade. As a school psychologist, you will take a hands-on approach—helping shape academic and behavioral interventions, directly engaging in problem-solving initiatives, and offering expertise in student mental health. Your contributions will extend beyond traditional psychological services; you'll be a key participant in the Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams. This inclusive environment values input and fosters professional growth as you help facilitate and interpret IEP evaluations, deliver necessary services, and support positive school outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist Experience (or strong interest) working in elementary school settings Deep understanding of special education procedures, including IEPs and evaluations Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills An ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments Comfortable working on-site at an elementary school campus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative psychological services to K-5 students Lead and participate in student intervention and problem-solving teams Facilitate building crisis response initiatives Conduct comprehensive IEP assessments and deliver interventions Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families Maintain thorough, compliant documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines This rewarding contract runs from July 30th through June 2nd, allowing you to guide students through a complete school year.
