Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education as a School Psychologist serving students in the Baltimore area, MD. This contract role requires a skilled professional ready to support children's academic, social, and emotional needs throughout a school year commitment. The position is on-site, working full-time hours within a dynamic public school setting.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in School Psychology from an accredited program Active state certification or licensure to practice as a School Psychologist in Maryland Comprehensive understanding of educational assessments, individualized education programs (IEPs), and multi-tiered systems of support Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, parents, and students Experience in providing counseling, behavioral interventions, and consultation within a school environment is valued
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations, including cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments, for students across various grade levels Collaborate with educational staff to develop strategies addressing student learning and behavioral challenges Participate in eligibility, IEP, and student support meetings, offering guidance based on assessment outcomes Deliver direct services such as crisis intervention, counseling, and skill-building sessions for students Support students, families, and staff in fostering a positive educational experience through expert consultation Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
Requirements:
Completion of district-specific background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review (per House Bill 486) Willingness to partake in prescreen interviews as part of the placement process Step into an essential role where your expertise will help shape the academic journey of students in the Baltimore area.
