Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' growth by providing psychological services across a diverse PreK-12 caseload throughout a dynamic school district. As a contract school psychologist, you will work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, using your expertise to positively affect student outcomes. This position is full-time, running from August 4, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and is fully onsite at various district campuses.
Qualifications:
Current, active NCDPI Psychologist License (must be submitted with application) Demonstrated proficiency with ECATS data system Proven experience in K-12 school settings, with strong consultation and crisis response skills Educational background or experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations Ability to provide effective parent conferences, staff training, and mental health support
Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group counseling, as well as targeted crisis intervention services Assess and address students' mental health and learning needs Conduct and interpret psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of disabilities Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success Participate actively on multi-disciplinary district teams Hold conferences with parents to discuss student progress and concerns Develop and facilitate training sessions for educational staff Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisor
