Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as a School Psychologist, supporting students and staff in a dynamic school environment near the Columbia, MD area. This onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact across one or more schools for the upcoming academic year, with a strong focus on collaboration and student well-being. Ideal candidates will bring a passion for educational psychology and experience working within K-12 settings. You'll be joining a committed team, providing essential psychological services to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in School Psychology from an accredited program Current certification or state licensure to practice as a School Psychologist Experience working in school settings preferred Familiarity with House Bill 486: ability to complete district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review promptly Strong communication, assessment, and consultation skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret assessment results Develop and implement individualized intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to promote student success Offer consultation and counseling services to address behavioral and emotional needs Assist in special education eligibility determinations and participate in IEP meetings Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within assigned schools
Contract Details:
Onsite assignment, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week Contract spans the 2026-2027 school year, from late August to mid-June Specific schools, caseload, and age groups to be determined during placement Candidates may be invited to participate in a prescreen interview as part of the selection process Take the next step in your career and become a valued resource for students.
