Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school psychologist position is available in Council, ID, providing an opportunity to support student development and well-being in an educational setting. This contract role focuses on applying psychological principles to help students overcome learning and behavioral challenges, contributing to a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs. Develop and implement intervention plans to address academic, social, and emotional issues. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success. Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed. Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional expertise.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certification or licensure as a school psychologist. Experience conducting assessments and interpreting psychological data. Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and behavioral management. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of relevant state and federal education laws and regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
