Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting a dynamic K-12 student population for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Immerse yourself in impactful work across 11 schools, collaborating with dedicated educational professionals while making a difference throughout the district. You'll enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week as you assist in developing positive learning environments. This multifaceted role goes beyond assessments—become a vital resource for student eligibility reviews, crisis intervention, and collaboration with the MTSS team to address diverse student needs.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in School Psychology Current or pending School Psychologist license through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Licensed Psychological Associate credentialPreferred Experience:
Previous experience supporting K-12 school-aged children Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to foster relationships across various school teams Familiarity with crisis response, student assessments, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) methodologiesKey Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students Work collaboratively with educational staff, families, and support teams Provide expertise in eligibility determinations for special education services Deliver crisis intervention and participate in school-wide prevention efforts Support the social-emotional well-being and academic progress of students district-wide This contract position offers a fulfilling experience in a close-knit, supportive educational environment.
