Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in students' educational journeys by utilizing your expertise as a skilled psychologist in an engaging, supportive school setting on a contract basis. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students while contributing your insights to the overall learning environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist or Public Health Psychologist Strong background in educational and developmental psychology, including experience working with children and adolescents Comprehensive knowledge of special education processes, including assessments and IEP development Ability to interpret evaluation results and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design interventions and support plans Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to dynamic school environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to students, families, and school staff Assist educators with strategies for classroom management and promoting student mental health Analyze data to assess student progress and effectiveness of interventions Contribute to student support meetings, offering recommendations grounded in psychological best practices Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with school policies and legal requirements This contract opportunity offers a chance to work in a supportive and collaborative school community committed to student growth and well-being.
