Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle school students by providing compassionate psychological support during the upcoming school year. This full-time, onsite opportunity is available at a single middle school, focusing on students in the San Juan Capistrano area. The contract runs from August 17th through November 20th, offering the chance to build strong relationships with students and collaborate closely with staff.
Key Qualifications:
Master's Degree in School Psychology or a closely related field (required) Valid PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) certification in School Psychology Proven experience supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of middle school students Exceptional collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities Commitment to professional ethics and maintaining confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments for students referred for evaluation Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans, as needed Deliver individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and academic concerns Provide consultation and resources to school staff on student learning and behavior Participate in crisis intervention and support services as necessary Maintain accurate, timely documentation and case notes in accordance with district and state standards This position offers the chance to focus your expertise and passion for student development at one middle school campus in a supportive environment.
