Academic Year Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Psychologist to support a diverse student population for the 2026-2027 school year in San Francisco, CA. The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, intervention, and consultation, to promote students' academic success and social-emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, contributing to individualized student plans Provide counseling and social-emotional support to students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and response Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations Provide consultation and training to school staff on mental health and behavioral strategies
Qualifications:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology required (Doctoral degree preferred) Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology required Experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and mental health interventions Familiarity with California special education laws and procedures
