SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
  • Pediatric Therapies, Inc.
is seeking a full-time school psychologist for the upcoming school year. Work alongside 2 wonderful, experienced school psychologists within the county! We offer drive time reimbursement for NCSPs. We are a local to Chesterfield, VA contract company providing SLP, OT, PT and school psychology services to 15 school districts in VA. If you are a new practitoner, you will have the support of working alongside an in-person, experienced mentor. You will be fully oriented and supported by current team members. You will work alongside an interdisciplinary team comprised of OTs, PTs, SLPs, and other school psychologists. Our team gathers to celebrate the holidays and the end of the school year. We provide therapy services (OT, PT, SLP, SP) to students within the public school system setting in the Southside and Central Region of VA. Currently, we provide Pediatric Therapies, Inc. is seeking a full-time, licensed school psychologist. Pediatric Therapies, Inc. is a therapist owned company, providing services to students within the public school system setting in the Central and Southside Region of VA. The professionals employed by Pediatric Therapies, Inc. are part of the educational team within a school district. The members of our team have school-based experience and, working alongside special educators and administrators, use their specific expertise to address student needs. We maintain long-term, strong working relationships with the counties we serve through regular and open communication. QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a master's degree from an approved program in school psychology , consisting of 60 graduate semester hours, plus a one-year internship as prescribed by the college awarding the degree. Good knowledge of psychological theory and practice as applied to the behavior and development of children and young adults; ability to apply knowledge to the needs and requirements of a public school system; ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of students, teachers, and parents; ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other professionals within the school and the community; analytic ability and adaptability to changing needs; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to write comprehensive reports; and ability to interpret findings to parents.
SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Provides the full range of psychological services to schools; systematically collects, analyzes, synthesizes, and interprets information necessary to guide services such as consultation, counseling, behavioral assessment and intervention planning, and psychological evaluation in the educational setting. _______________________________________________________________________
