The School Psychologist supports early childhood and elementary students by promoting academic achievement, social-emotional development, and overall well-being through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators, families, and support staff. This role plays a vital part in creating inclusive, supportive learning environments that help students succeed.

Responsibilities :

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to support special education eligibility, instructional planning, and intervention development. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs and behavioral intervention plans. Provide direct and indirect services including counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute data-driven recommendations to improve student outcomes and school-wide practices. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications :

Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in the state of Illinois. Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited program. Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting evaluation data in a school-based setting. Strong knowledge of special education law, eligibility criteria, and best practices for early childhood and elementary populations. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, communicate clearly with families, and manage multiple responsibilities in a school environment.
