Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity awaits a skilled School Psychologist to provide essential support during a maternity leave at a junior high school located near Edison, NJ. If you're passionate about fostering student well-being and are eager to make a lasting impact in an educational setting, this assignment is tailored for you.
This position spans specific dates:
August 25, 26, and 27, as well as September 1, 2026, continuing from September 1, 2026, through January 29, 2027. You'll play a pivotal role in working with junior high students and collaborating with educators and parents to promote a positive school climate and address students' needs.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist Prior experience working in a junior high or middle school setting preferred Deep knowledge of psychological testing, student assessments, and IEP processes Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills Ability to provide both individual and group counseling services to students Experience with crisis intervention, behavioral strategies, and parent-teacher consultation
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and interpret data to help develop effective educational plans Deliver direct counseling and intervention services to students Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise to develop strategies for student success Support teachers and parents with tools and resources to enhance student well-being Maintain accurate and timely documentation within school protocols You'll have the opportunity to step into a vital role within a supportive environment, making a meaningful difference for students during an important period in their educational journey.
